shackle flip

Looks good! Is that the new DIY4X flip? Was the install easy?
 
yep and yep, awsome bolted right up and test tommrw. didnt even take the tank off(did curse a lot though). i dont look like a baja rig anymore :p:



ps: the back is being redone for speaker box, amps and storage, so excuse the seat :)
 
Looks good. Even yellow!!! Glad to hear it went well for you. You said you didn't drop the tank. How difficult was it to get your hand up in there?

no way not my gorrilla fingers, used a long super skinny srewdriver to angle it out top of frame, slid bracket down and used a punch to wedge it up against the frame while holding the shackle with my head and feeding the bolt in.......... was soooooo fun :p:

I figured it must have been pretty darn tight. I have sort of big hands too. I don't think I could get in there.
 
Looks great. When I did my flip, the tank was a PITA to get beck on, but there is no way I could have done it with the tank on.
 
patience and a good magnet. i only have enogh room for the support braket to be forced in- so less then an inch. was about 2 hrs just getting the thing on. but figureed better then pulling tank
 
op-tested shakle flip and im in love!! going to start another thread with some pics of the flex test and awsome trailin with k10A'sBROinSLO.
 
yep-vender forum. DIY4X good people and awsome price!! was one of the easy upgrdes that did the most good!! i am so much more confident with this shackle then the other big name brands- such sturdy good work :bow: :bow: :bow:
 
nice flip...you know, when i did mine (echobit) i had no problems getting in there and hadn't even heard anything about dropping the tank...
