I just got my first truck. An 86 Blazer. It's all stock. I just got some 33's for it. I was goin to buy a 3in body lift for it but my dad said that there junk. I've been lookin at some suspension lifts but there like 500 bucks. I see that everyone on here has a done a shackle flip. What exactly is a shackle flip? Can I just buy the parts for a shackle flip and raise the truck 4in or is there other parts that i need to buy? Thanks.

Check out ORD's website about flips. You'll need front springs too and prob zero rates to level it up and correct pinion angle.
If you're serious about your truck, flip and good front springs are the way to go for a 4".
Do a search on here and you'll find enough info to fry your brain!

So do I need all of that stuff in the links that you posted or just the shackle flip stuff?

you get what you pay for. a body lift will space the body away from the frame. nothing will be improved except tire clearance. $500 may seem like a lot now, but down the road you will thank yourself.

$189.00 for the shackle flip
$75.00 for greasable bushings
$199.00 for pair of 4" front springs

$38.00 for new U bolt kit
$40.00 for pair 1" zero rate add a leaf

$352.00 before tax and shipping

Optional but recommended parts

$120.00 for a bolt on steering box brace
$75.00 for weld-in Frame repair kit

you may want to spring for some longer brake lines and some sort of steering correction. Either the "S" shaped drag link or the steering arm that the 10 bolt guys use. Oh and when you really start buying parts for off road use like doublers, steering mods, and new driveshafts, $500 spent on the lift will seem like chump change.
