will a shackle flip affect towing or hauling any?

I doubt that it will affect anything. There have been many discussions about it here in the past. My opinion is that the shackle flips are designed stronger than the OEM setup/hardware so it will be fine.

You just end up with a setup just like the front of the truck , or the rear of a Jeep .
