I just completed my 52/63 spring swap and now i need some shafts. i think im goin to go with the 1350 CV from HAD but i was wondring on how much slip i should have? any suggestions will help.

Did you take geometry in high school? It's that easy.

The back is easier because the diff is centered. Your new mad flex in the front will probably require a lot of slip.

what axles, transfer case ect are you running. also what kind of shocks and do you have limiting straps.

For the front, you will need to flex out the truck with an engine hoist, or forklift to get the best measurement. Measure at ride height, max compression and then max droop. HAD should be able to recommend what to go with once you give them those measurements. Rear is easier, you could probably get away with the stock length slip but I would add a few inches just to be safe

i ordered the stuff for a d-shaft yrs ago...iirc they only make a male/female slip for drive shaft up to 12''...this was all spicer parts tho

when i ordered my male/female slip, i cut the d-shaft, measured its diameter, prepared to order parts, thought i had all info, was just getting longest slip they had, i had to call them back...i didn't have the d-shaft tube wall thickness and they needed it, parts fit like a glove,..squared everything in lathe, clocked everything...bottomed pieces out on squared cuts,.tacked it up, finish welded it, no balancing and no vibes...like it should be, d-shaft still in my cousins k5 12+ yrs later

There are custom slips you can get that are much longer than that

haha ya i took geometry. i've got a d60/14bolt and a 241 so im also buying an SYE kit. Im goin to be running the rancho 9000's 15 inch travel. and once its all completed i will probably add bump stops and limiting straps. So if i measure it at full compression and full droop the difference in those 2 measurments should be how much slip i need?

add a couple of inches of slip to be safe, Its really hard to force flex one while it is static.
