I am on my second blazer. This is my first one with a carb though. I can drive along and around idle its fine but around 20 if I even give it even the slightest bit of throttle it.starts shaking bad!!!!!! Enough to make stuff roll and fall off the dash. If I let off the throttle it.does fine. But once again as soon as I give it throttle it starts again. Need help. I am not really mechanically inclined. I mostly do body work and paint. The blazer is a 1984 k5 350ci four barrel carb stock and 700r4 10 bolts on36" iroks. (I know they r big tires for.ten bolts but it is a street daily driver and weekend beer hauler) any advice is handy

Well, lets talk about the lift and anything else that may be the cause.

Was the lift just installed or has it been done for a while?
When did the shaking start?
Did you do any repairs/mods before the shaking started?
Could it be tire related, does it shake faster/slower in relation to the tire speed?
Is it more of a high speed vibration, like a driveshaft problem?
Does it shake while in Park with the engine revving up? (vehicle stationary)

The more info you can provide, the better we can help or point you in the direction to look.

yeah, I'm having trouble deciding if he's talking about a vibration, a bad running motor, etc...

It's engine related, and it's happened to me before, just trying to remember what it was.

Try running it in D, not OD. See if it calms down. Mine shakes a little when I drive around in town and it shifts into overdrive. Hopefully someone knows what the deal is.

My suspicion is it has something to do with the torque converter or the tranny, but what do I know...

Why don't u bring it by tomorrow and let me look at it and we can make sure it isn't a ujoint or balance problem

A bad plug wire or carboned plug can give a good idle and fall flat when you put a load on the engine. So you might be dropping a cylinder (or more) when you get on the gas.

83% of the time, a vibe is found to be a u-joint.....
