had no magnet, but shaved well past where was.
sort of picture of it.
Not the best pic, but cut 1/2 way thru the bolt hole...never saw a magnet in mine, its from 1975 go figure, mine is pretty beat, both spindles have speedy sleeves on the seal surface, used a thread file to clean up the spindle threads to even get the axle nuts on and the hubs and have a couple helicoils for the axle bolts. I didnt mind grinding on this axle.
