Very nice work on the cover and the shaving. That is something I have yet to do to my rig and now the axle is under there. Guess I'll be laying on my back with the grinder for a loooong time. All we need from you now is one with it all por'd up.

I'm going to knock a little more off and smooth it out agian then smooth out the top for shitz&giggles...

No POR here, its implement paint or rattle can's... Thought about having the cover powder coated /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif that should stand up to a few slams and bams right?

I have mixed feelings on the powder coat issue. It is durable but in the end will still chip. Problem is when it does chip its a whole new powder coat job to fix it. Rattle can at least you can just blast over it again for 3.99.

I have an Avalache Rock Ring that WAS powder coated...
It took a couple hits...and then it was bare metal...

It's painted with Krylon now!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I knocked my top ears off too /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif did some other "shaving" up there. I was just grinder mad after the bottom /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yeah I think I might still take a little more off the top to make it match the cover more. Smooth it out for paint also. Need to grab some degreaser, self etching primer and a can of black and then maybe either blue or orange for the cover /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Next thing is to make something to protect the ujoint /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
