I had developed an occasional miss/stumble at hot idle - not a huge deal, but I figured my ignition control module may be on its way out (350 TBI with 200k+ on it).

After pricing a cap, rotor, module, and pickup coil, I said hell with it and just ordered up a complete distributor assembly from Summit instead...good thing I did. In addition to what you can see in the pics, the bearings are shot.

Did you get a stock replacement?
I have heard that there is a replacement one for a good price that works well.

I was pleasantly surprised how cheap a complete drop in distributor was when I needed one for the 97 sbc.

I dunno why the TBI distributors self destruct like that. The old large cap HEI distributors last seemingly forever in comparison...
