I'm in the process of gutting my 88 k5 I'd really like to redo the interior with either diamond plate or sheet metal. Does anyone have pictures of this? or and tips? even a tech-how-to.

sounds like an oven!

I think it would be tastefull in the rear if done right..but every where would be tacky, unless you have the right tools, or know how:confused:

That would be because that truck is 2wd

Do they still make a 2wd truck?:D I didn't read , just looked at the picts:doah:

i too didnt read and looked at the pics...:haha:
I looked at the front bumper pic and its an IFS front end with no CV's so its 2wd...

The more I think about it , you don't see many 2wd any more . Drive by a new car dealer and all you see are 4wds . I bet one day 2wd will a option.

Depends on the geographical area. In northern california, all the burbs/tahoes on the new lots are 4x4. Go down to LA area, all 2wd's.....

Thanks for those links that guys dash is insane. Before he modded it was it the same as an 88? Do you guys reccomend a certain type of sheetmetal to do this? Special tools to bend it? or techniques?

I never see 2wd at dealers in the northest. And everything is extended cab or crew cab. I'd have to go to the south if I wanted one. A toyota salesman told me they only make 4wd:haha: Its not that it snows that much here, they just want toi sell you a more expensive truck.
