Sheet metal thickness?

I'm planning on patching a couple of holes in the floor of my K5. I found some local shops that sell sheet metal, but I'm not sure what thickness to get. I want something that will stand up to people crawling in and out of the back seats, but I don't want to add a lot of weight.

i know that the stock metal mostly in k5's and prolly the trucks are 18 guage
