Shift Indicator for ‘72 K5

The shift indicator on my ‘72 K5 is quite difficult to see. I remember my father’s 80’s Chevy’s having an orange vertical indicator on the column gear selector. Not sure if my ‘72 is supposed to have that, or broke off.

Any suggestions? My searches so far haven’t unearthed anything.

Thank you all. I was able to find a .STL file for a 3d printer that I was able to tailor to work. If anyone needs one, I can print and send to you.
