Shift kit for SM465 ??

Just wondering if there is any shift kits for a SM465 ? Like a straight shifter or something ... ? Thanks !!

The shifter handle is bent so that it doesn't hit the dash when you shift 'up'...

If you put a 3" body lift on the truck the bend will be below the body looking like a straight stick... also the steering knob will rest on the seat in 3rd..... and that means a female passenger will love you to death..... . TRUST ME THAT IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I WONT GET RID OF MY BODY LIFT !!!!!!

1978 Chevy 3/4 - 14" leafs - 3" body lift - dana 44w/4.56's -14 bolt corp w/4.56's on 40x17x16.5 Ground Hawgs on 16.5x12 steel rims
 
Guess I am kinda confused .... lol ... What I meant I guess is can I buy a b&amp;m shifter or something for easier shifting ? I think thats right haha.

I don't think there is anything that will make the SM 465 shift quickly or smoothly. It is a 'truck' 4 speed and will never shift like a T5 or any other car tranny no matter what you do to it.

I think you'd get more benefit from driving it for a while to get used to it. The fastest smoothest shift in the world will not change the wide ratio of the tranny. Technique and getting to know your truck will do more for you.

all you have to do is macnie the gears and create face tooth engagement shift clutches a la Jerico
