I don't know what that valve body looks like, are you doing this from under the truck?

If the valve body is out, typically I think you can get a flat blade screwdriver in through some of the passages to work the parts out. Maybe that won't work with what you have, not sure what you are dealing with. :)

It's not in the VB, it's in the pump here....

I suppose I shoulda known since you said pressure valve. :)

At least you got it out!

yeah everything seemed to go good. i still have to do the governor and servo. i found a brown check ball on the floor after i had it all together but the instructions never called for one in the diagram unless the trans was pre 87. mines a 90. it had been rebuilt before so who knows what they all did. i hope i dont have to tear it all apart to put it back as i have no idea where it goes.

Did you take the Aux. Valvebody off? If you did, it has a check ball in it. I can show you if you need a pic.

i musta messed something up because when i took it for a test run it wouldnt leave first gear, by the time i got around the block it would shift through all of the gears. at that point i figured it would take a little time for the fluid to make its way through? so then i tried to floor it and it wouldnt kick down. took it home and tried to adjust the tv cable. with the throttle all the way open i could push the thing all the way back. im wondering if i didnt hook up the tv cable mechanism up to the valve body correctly? when i do floor it it seems like the tranny is slipping or something.
