what would be the best type of shift kit to put in 1979 jimmy with a 350/700-r4/np203. The turck is going to be a daily driver. I am in the process of rebuilding the transmission now.

i just put one in my street truck. i used the stage 2 B&M shift kit. shift is just right, plenty firm but not neck snapping. i would go with a stage one for a blazer to clean up the sloppy shifting but not too harsh.

are there any other modifactions that I might benfit from doing to the 700-R4 while I am rebuilding it?

i only use transgo shift kits. put a corvette servo in it, 29 element sprag. if its behind a hipo motor put a "beast" sun shell in it, and a wide band. use the thin clutches, more clutches=long lasting 700r4
