shift rod differences?

or i could just get hooked up with new balls. :D yep. i said it. i didn't realize pool balls are plastic. sure don't feel like it.

Well it's something synthetic I think, a plastic of some sort. It's funny this came up, cause I just did three pool ball shifters last week at home. Not quite as pretty as roadnotca's though.

wow, this is an old thread! nah, i was just checking to see if my current shifter on my np208 will run on my 205.

are you tapping the ball itself or inserting a threaded sleeve?
I tapped the balls themselves. They tend to like to chunk out and crumble a bit, but going slow enough, and with threads as large as 5/8 course, it came out fine. They mount on the rod as secure as they need to.

that right there is possible sig material. :doah:
I had a feeling you guys might get me for that one, there just wasn't much of a better way to say it.

an alternative may have been:

"i tapped the thread into each pool ball."

that would've covered your @ss better. i expect more effort from you in the future. :wink1:

Bah, that would've been too much work. Sentence structure like that could make me sound british. :eek1:

nah, skulls and anything anyone does to make their truck look scary or tough or whatever is just another piece in the quest to build a penis extenion, in my opinion. i like the look of the offroad truck which has some class to it - like a nice set of balls. :D besides, people might think i'm obsessed if they see me in my skull/crossbones shirt and my skull/crossbones shifter knobs. :)
