I need a transaxle shifter boot for a 1973 Chevy Blazer.
The usual parts and accessories suppliers don't seem to carry them. Where do I go?

Transfer case perhaps? There is no "transaxle". You also need to know if it's "full time" (which is an NP203) or "part time" (an NP205).

Maybe LMC might? Not sure. You are a member so you might post in "Wanted" to see if someone has one. I just threw some away recently while cleaning up around here. And they were not in bad condition...

I came up with an Idea that I will try when I get my interior fixed up. I plan on taking some scrap suede leather, two big pieces. Cutting up an old innertube from a tire shop. Gluing the rubber to the back of the suede. And stitching it together as a new boot with rubber on inside facing elements and suede in the cab. It will be awhile before I do it, but I thought it was a good idea when it popped in my head /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

I bought one from LMC - it came in a GM box for about 30 bucks... /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
