Shifter removal?

How do you get the stock column auto shifter out? It's only held on by one piece. Drill it out, or special tool? Thanks

Most of them come right out by pulling the "rivet"looking thing at the end ot the handle out(it has splines under the head,no threads)you might have to use pliers,or a punch from the bottom side to get it out--most of my trucks I can pull it out with my fingers--and I put the shifter handle in the glove box--helps deter theft--not that they'ed steal my junks anyway! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
