I got a 90 jimmy 6" lift springs with 14blt. I am running a HAD cv shaft no vibe issues but horrible angle at the rear. I see that you can get shims as high as 10 degrees. My question is I thought I read somewheres that it wasnt recomended to go more than 6" due to stress on ubolts. Is this true and also this truck is pretty much a DD with wifey and kids so saftey is a priority.. I woud like to just relocate the perches but no welder and shims would b cheaper and easier. Thanks for any input. :D

with a spring lift in the rear I wouldn't be concerned with running a shim. Figure out what degree you need to get the pinion snout pointed at the T-case and run it.

Jason, i'm suprised you didn't call me. You should bring that thing over here and let me take a look at it and see what should be done. IIRC I have a set of steel shims my buddy made for me that I was using before I finally cut and moved my perches to get rid of the shims.
