ok i did search and know what i need to do but the question is, how close in size do the shims have to be? i have a set of alcans w/ 8* shims and i need to shim the top plate but i dont have any shims for it. the closest i can find are 7*. i cant imagine that 1* will be a problem but id rather be safe than sorry

how much? i only need 1, but if you just wanna get rid of em all i can take em' thanks man!

just so i know for furture referance what is the acceptable amount of differance between shims?

i have 2 degree shims and no shim under the top plate.. so im willing to bet your 7 degree shim will work with your 8 degree shims

althought you might want to think about dropping your front spring hangers a little bit,, and not running shims at all.. i think im going to go that route myself...
