Can a 205 be shipped through UPS or Fed Ex? I have one I might part with and was wondering what is the best way to ship it.

UPS, 150 lbs. max limit.

I've shipped a 205 before. It was a fixed yoke and no adaptor mounted to it. It came in right around 135 lbs.

I put it in a large trash bag to keep the oil mess to a minimum and then cut and taped cardboard around it tightly to minimize the size of it.

I don't remember what it cost to ship nor to where it went. But it can be done.

Yep, Fedex is 150 lbs. They won't let you ship crates, either. I ran into this trouble when I bought an Eaton 5.14 geared third member from a gentleman in Minnesota. He had made a custom crate for it and it weighed exactly 150 lbs with the 3rd in it, ready to go.

What he did after they shot him down was find a large cardboard box (it was a baby seat IIRC) and he built a 2nd crate that fit perfectly inside the cardboard box. Arrived safe and sound.

Good luck!
