Sold my 89 K5 a while ago, but recently picked up a 85 K10 shortbed.

i'm very interested in lifting my truck. not shooting for the moon here, but going up roughly 4".

I am going to be running 2" t/c EZ ride springs with 6" shackles and degree shims up front and stock springs with a flipped overload and a 4" shackle flip n switch with johnny joints.

i was told that this setup would be a very soft and flexable setup, thats why i chose it.

now i'm lacking knowledge of shocks. i've read everywhere i want f250 shock towers up front and to inboard the rears. both is very doable, i am a fabricator. i just know nothing about shocks.

what would be the best shock for my application?

more specs on the truck:
Stock 10 bolts
37x14 - 15 Iroks
15x10 Steel rims
probably a rancho dual steering stabilizer.

any input would be appreciated :D

I like bilsteins. Pro Comp 9000 are the budget shock winner for me though. I will have bilsteins in front on my new rig and pro comps in back

I read that and that's why I was thinking of getting them... How do I go about mounting them? He was a liilttle vague in his right up... Do I have to fully compress the suspension and install a compressed shock? How will I be certain I won't max the shock out on either compression or droop? I've fabbed a million things, but sure what would be he proper shock angles and where the "ride height" spot on the shock is.
