did some lookin around to find the longer shocks for my truck from off the shelf stuff at the local parts stores.
figured monroe has been good to me and lots of others over the years so why not.
here is the pdf file to all there shock lengths/bushing info/specs to cross refrence to.
http://www.monroe.com/catalog/documents/08_MountingLengthSheet.pdf
stock in the gag mag non cheepy version
83 k30 stock setup.
front = 34919
rear .= 34920
83 k10-k20
front = 34944
rear .=34824
so find your #'s and have fun lookin at all the diffrent specs. its faster to scan threw and look for the bushing style and go from there.
if you look at the specs for the bushings there is some play here and there to open up the options. dont be afraid to search the metric = to american and drill the bushing out a tiny bit.
i happen to find a set of shocks that look like a super close deal to try when i swap to 3" lift kit this summer.
front # 34822 = real close possible work.
rear .# 34521 = rear close also and yes little short but i plan to drop the low hanging stock shock tabs and rotate the mounts up the tube to gain clearence and shorter mount position to work.
should be good by quick looks. but test/tune will be final test.
hope this helps others to be able to get better riding shocks for low lift vehicles and not pay crazy money for crappy generic lift shocks that ride crappy.
