shock ends...

what would the pros and cons be of a rod end style shock? as opposed to a traditional poly bushing eyelit?

I'm guessing it's allowing for movement of the shock on the angle a little better than a standard poly eyelit on the pro side........

I did rod end syle on my shocks, and if I had it to do again I would get poly bushings.

For one thing they are noisier, but that's only a big deal because I have them penetrating the rear floor. Although I do have a plywood box built over them, they are still noisy.

Another thing to consider is that you need some spacers so that the ends can move without contacting the tabs. Here's a pic of my spacers:

Let me tell you, those spacers make it a real pain in the arse to install the shocks.

I think as long as the shock mounting points can be setup in reasonable alignment, the poly bushing ends are just fine.

That was the answer I was looking for.. And now I do remember you talking about this earlier...

now I just need to decide between 5125's and 5150's....
