Shock Extenders

How do you like those shocks? I've got Bilstein's on my 06, and have never regretted that purchase, though occasionally they're borderline too harsh.
I got them on sale cheaper than a set of Bilsteins. They are little stiffer than stock but again my stock ones had 75k miles and the body was nearly rusted through so my perception may be off. They do seem to keep the rear end more controlled over fast moving bumps.
Bilstein 5100s are pretty similar but aren't rebuild able however it's doubtful I'd ever bother rebuilding them.

Just out of curiosity where did you get those? Did you do the fronts also?

23,000 miles and I’m already looking at replacements for my junk Ranchos.

I bought the shocks on Amazon or eBay like 2 years ago on sale and they've been sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to get the Fox 2.0 front struts on sale too. Eventually I'll do those or Bilstein 5100 struts for the front. For now I'm still rolling on the factory struts with a 2" spacer.
My truck isn't a Z71 so I didn't have those crappy ranchos or they would have been swapped out a long time ago. For you I'd recommend getting Bilstein 5100s all the way around. They really are a good quality shock and aren't crazy expensive.

I run bilsteins all the way around on my 14 Silverado. They are nice. I left the front struts at the stock height and put a leveling spacer on.

I’ll probably run Bilsteins when time comes but Eibach has a pretty tempting new lift setup with new coil springs.

Wire brush that frame and coat it with rust converter, trucks here don't look any better. You will be fine with the shock extenders. The shock still works the same way. It doesn't twist in those mount like u think, the top spins anyway....you spun it to put the extender on.

I was looking at putting fox shocks on my 19, but the front kit i read too many complaining about sag. I should of put fox on the back of my 19, I did bilsteins instead.
