what is the ~difference in length between a d60 and d44/10bolt axle, if any difference at all

thanks :waytogo:

**Putting a D60 where my d44 was in my blazer. Put Furd shock towers on and contemplating moving them up again, unless the d60 shock distance is longer.

I need to check my two axles, unfortunately they are in separate locations. I thought the D60 lifted the truck a slight amount, being the spring pads are higher from the tubes. I thought maybe, that would also translate into the shock tabs being further away from the frame.

at most, like 5/8" away

just checked napa online and

1/2 ton ext length is 18.375"

1 ton is shorter at 18.250"

not much but like said bolt in swap.

Finally got a chance to measure the two axles. The D44's shock bracket sticks down farther than the D60.

From center of shock mount to top of spring perch:

D60: ~3"
D44: ~3.25"

all else being equal, this is where the length comes in.
