What length of shock do I need (front and rear) for a 2.5" heavy duty Tuff Country lift? Front spring, rear spring. I would like to go with Bilstein 5125 which seams to be the best shocks.

Tuff Country makes 2" and 3" springs, none that are 2.5".

The front shocks will end up very short if you use the stock mounts because the Bilsteins have an internal reservoir that makes the body of the shock longer (which means a shorter travel shock), we really recommend longer front shock mounts for that application.

For the rear, it would depend on what truck and what axle you have.

Great info. So the lift kit would be a 2in Tuff country. The front is a dana 44. The rear is the gm 12 bolt. The long term plan is to run a dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear. I think for now I would go with 33 bfg A/Ts.

So I'm not sure what shocks I should get with the kit. I don't want to remove anything that came riveted to the frame. I thought blistien were the best shocks. If not what do you recommend for shocks and length?

Thx
