I'm getting close to that point in my build where I'm looking for shocks. Leaning towards Bilstein 5100. I have Dana 70 up front and 14 bolt in rear, not sure if previous owner welded on shock tabs on rear or if it's stock. How do they measure shock eyes? Also was just going to run singles on front instead of dual on each side, what's your thoughts?

Shocks have what they call "mounting codes"--you look up the part number of a shock and you used to be able to look them up in the back of the catalog and they would show what the upper & lower mounting codes were...for example a "L1" code might mean a "loop" with a 1/2" bushing, and say,1-3/16" width..
This is old info from when I used to work at parts stores long ago,but it's probably still the same today..

Dual front shocks usually end up being much stiffer than you need for street driving....one "bigger" shock (like a Monroe Magnum vs a skinny stock one) usually works out better in most cases..
Others here might have more info on that subject..

What lift are you running?
Are there currently shocks on it that work? (pull a front and rear off and measure)

They measure extended and collapsed on center.
You're looking for loop ends which usually use the same bushing but different sleeves for different size bolts.
It's kind of a pain to use bilstien catalog but offroad design sells particular 5100s that are pretty good for our trucks. Just give them some measurements and you'll get the right shocks for what you are doing.

Changed the front to B52 with stock rear springs. Rear has shackle flip kit. Had 35" on but went down to 32". Front has dual on each side thinking of going single with top mount brace. Also want to put brace on rear.

Was looking at the ORD sight for shocks. Thought may have a different sight or seller like Amazon.

I would call ORD with some measurements in hand. Get the mounting tab width size. Also have the ride height length from mount to mount. They can help you choose with your non-factory mounting mounting distances. I run 14” travel at each corner but clearly my top mounts are not factory.

If the old shocks mounted up to the PO axle mounts, more than likely anything will. I run spherical bushings up front right now and they fit with provided spacers.
