This may be a stupid question, but which mount is the original, non quad shock mount? Forward or aft?

I'm putting a 6" lift in, and ordered 14" bilstiens, and was going to use the ford towers. Will the front mount be tall enough, or should i use the fords?

Thanks

The smaller, triangular bracket is the single shock position, the large cobra head looking bracket is the one added for quad shocks.

With the two stock options why the two different angles as opposed to the aftermarket dual set up with two "inline shocks"
I have an 89 with the stock dual option. I put new front 2" EZ TC springs which actually sits 3" over stock height and are pretty stiff with single 5125 Bilsteins in the rear position
Is one angle better than the other? I was going to test drive for a while then switch and compare , I'm sure someone has already tried and knows
Thanks for any responses I'm going to keep singles for a while i've dumped a lot of cash in for the year.

It's been said by many that vertical shocks are best but I guess that depends on the intended use and purpose. On this setup you're running I would have used the forward mounts to run a slightly longer shock.
