shocks????

mine are about gone and was wondering if anyone knew of the lenght for a 8 inch lift on a k5
but i would like longer ones cause the stock one that came woth the lift limit a lot of travel??

If you get a longer one, then it will be too long and when you compress your suspension, then the shock is going to be your bumpstop and then you will have more problems.

Basically you are stuck using a shock that is too short if you are using the stock mounts. GM's shock mount design sucks and to get a shock in there and be able to use most of it's travel takes custom mounts.

buy a pair of ford shock towers. They run about $12 each. I am using them and they allow me to run a 32" shock with only 5" lift.
