Shoot me please.....JEEP question

Ok, heres the prob....im working on a friends cj5, putting caster shims under the front axle to fix the wandering problem. On the spring under axle with the 4* caster shim the spring center bolt is only long enough to go through the shim, it doesnt touch the spring perch on the bottom of the axle... what to do? Run it? Do they make spring center bolts with longer heads to protrude through the shim and perch? Burn the SOB to the ground? Heres a pic to help understand what the problem is....

I cant see the picture, but the head of the center bolt should not be able to slip through the shim. You add the shim just like adding another leaf to the pack. If the hole in the shims allow the head to slip through, then you need to find new ones with a smaller hole.

It is crucial that the head of the center bolt slips into the perch, its what keeps the axle from sliding around on the leaf springs.

I have one of those shims on my Jeep and I have a bolt that has a longer head, but I also before this made my own: I ground some washers down to the size of the whole and stacked enough to cover the thickness of the shim, so the head of the bolt went thru the axle hole.
