We had this built, 7-8 years ago. Can't remember when:laugh: crs

Anyway it's the farm shop/ storage building. Becoming more of my shop.

Specs a 84' by 53' 14' rafters. 14'x30' sliding double doors and a 12'x12' role up door.

So anyway we decided to have concrete doorways done this summer. Main objective was to keep the weather out a little better.

Then about a week before the doorways were to be done we decided to do half of the floor, that way we could have a nice place to work on equipment and what not. Called the contractor and that was fine by him, more than he had planned on but he'd get it taken care of. So, yeah, change of plans again, let's do the whole floor:haha: Called the contractor again, "no problem". Got a call back the same night. " yeah, that's a lot more than we had planed on doing and we just got 3 more jobs piled on this evening" "We won't be able to do it":eek1::eek1: "but I got someone lined up to do it." We lucked out and they did a nice job. It was his first job on his own.

Good god I'm sooo jealous! good for you man!!! Now THATS a shop.

Freakin Sweet Brett! Hey you gonna be around next friday afternoon? I have a DOW meeting up your way.

GOOD Idea on the posts by the doors too! Moving snow on ice has killed many a door without those.

I envy you!

My dream shop is a 50 x 150 with 12' or 14' sidewalls. You got me beat already.

I'm always nervous about the doors. The 30 footers are aluminum and they aren't cheap:crazy:

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I can tell you one thing, it's not big enough already:doah:

just a question 4 ya..no insulation??what are you doing for heat?/im sure it gets cold up there...shop looks awsome btw

It gets very cold here but I've got a smaller heated shop if I really need to work on something. We do have gas lines run to the big shop but we didn't have enough time this year to do insulation and not sure if we want it. Plus I've got a ton of winter gear to wear if I feel ambitious.:D Thanks.

Wood burner!

i was looking at building a shop and not having insulation cuts the cost ALOT...we build a 40x80 at my buddies house (insulation,skylights0 and its still cold in the winter...clarkjw24s shop doesnt have insulation which it doesnt get very cold where he lives but hot in the summer...he runs sprinklers on the roof to keep it somewhat cool

Thats a nice shop. Do you remember what it cost you way back then?

35k'ish just for the building, the walk in door, the 30' doors and erection.

That's right I said it:p:

Say Brett have you looked at that spray on insulation. There is a guy in Early that does it. I think its relatively cheap and it works awesome.
