Who's got some of those rubber or PVC tile shop flooring?

I'm looking into it to make my back room into a little shop. The problem is that the room in question is has a tile floor so I'm worried about protecting it. The stuff isn't cheap as I've got about 125 sqft to cover. I want to know if its worth it or any suggestions on where I should buy them :ears:

My dad put down racedeck flooring (same concept) in his 32x32. Got it down in a day, really easy. Only odd thing is it has an......echo....when you walk on it. We put down something underneath it that toned it down, IIRC it was a roll of thin foam, probably 4ft wide rolls

I did the black and white checkered stuff from HD 12 years ago. It has held up well...

For sure, check out garage journal. Those guys are obsessed with the racedeck product, although it is expensive from what I've seen. But they have massive discussions on various flooring types and the pros / cons of all.

If you plan to use it in a small attachment type room that doesn't see any heavy stuff or potentially damaging heat or flames etc, it might be a nice solution.

I love looking at GJ, but it seems like so many of those shops are just made to look at not really work in! I know there's guys here that take real pride in their shop looking nice AND still working on our big trucks in them, but I don't know how you'd have a floor without a typical "hard" surface for the types of stuff us guys like to do.

Thanks for the input. So far I've been going with no covering on the floor and its still working out well. If I bring something inside to work on that's dirty or greasy a few pieces of cardboard go a long way.
