Hi -

Can anyone recommend a good shop in Northern VA for suspension and driveline work. Looking to have some work done on my 1991 Jimmy. Need some spring and driveshaft work. I think I may need to have the driveshaft lengthed. Have terrible vibration on low acceleration. Already replaced U-Joints.

Basically, if you know of a trusted shop that has worked on some of these older GMC/Chevys. I may have some other projects in the works, but really need to find the right resource. I'm not comfortable with the local auto servcies, would rather have someone who knows these trucks.

Thanks

Not a lot of options in our area. I ended up doing my lift myself and sending out for a driveshaft (tom woods)

You may want to check out Chantilly Spring Works but that's about all I can suggest. Stay far away from Bad Boyz in Woodbridge.

I myself do my own work. Evertime I have let a shop do something my butt and wallet hurt afterwards, plus one shop actually dropped my truck off the lift and messed it up.
Anyways, there are enough of us wrench turners around, maybe we should have a wrenching meet and greet :D
