Shortest doubler setup

I am looking into setting up my 71 with a doubler. I also have the opportunity to switch the tranny I have (currently a TH350).

To keep the driveshaft lengths as long as possible, what's the shortest doubler setup among all the options? I'm kinda interested in going to a manual transmission at the same time. I have my eye on a SM465+205 combo. Is the manual much longer/shorter than the TH350 setup?
 
RyanB says that the 465/205 combo is the same length as a 350/205 combo so those will be the shortest doubler you could build.
 
Yea, I took a look at the new Gen2 doubler from ORD's web site and read that all combos are the same length now. I guess this question is answered. Thanks!

You know where I can find a factory 465/203 combo within driving distance?
 
PM RyanB, he seems to find just about anything you could ever be looking for. I think we need to start calling him the junk yard dog. :D
 
It looks like he's got PM's turned off. Am I going to be wasting my time looking in a wrecking yard? I've seen a few 73-75 k5's around in pick-n-pull but I've never thought to look at what they had.

I do know of one factory 465-203 combo a guy has, but I think it might be too pricey for me.

I found an adaptor and range box on ebay from a member here. It's on it's way, but I plan to re-sell the adaptor part and switch to an NV4500 instead.
