Should I be keeping an eye on these?

If they run then that is an excellent driveline and axle combination that just begs to go into a DD or trail rig. If they dont run, well heck, you still get a D60 front axle, and a 14bff rear, extra doors, a hood, fenders. Just dont pay too much for anything used from the government as they tend to be pretty abused. Oh and never trust the odometer either, those get swapped out all the time in military vehicles.

Am i right by assuming both of these are D60's? Hubs sure look like it but im not sure if these utility style ones are,,,

Should be. Only the M1009's, the Blazers, had the 10-bolt axles; all the others have the D60/14BFF (or maybe in some cases, i.e. duallies, a D70HD rear.)

i wasnt planning on registering them... just want a LOT of parts

D60, TH400, 6.2, 208, driveshafts, 14BFF, Body Panels... the good stuff you know

Talk to filo over on 4x4 Mecca. He works on those things for a living.

If they're the same as the M1028, the 60 will have a lockers or LSD in it.

Oh and don't count on the 6.2 being in good shape. I learned the hard way on mine. The diesel mechanic I used said that as long as people kept buying surplus military trucks he was always going to have customers. From what I understood it was abuse and substitute fuels.
