Should I be scared of Prichett?

So I have wheeled my jeep a lot in Moab. We have done Kane Creek, the "Trifecta" Hells Revenge, Top of the world, Fins and Things, etc. I know my blazer could tackle all the trails the jeep has. I am curious how bad Prichett is? I am running 36 swampers locked front and rear on about 8" lift, decent bumpers, lockers front and rear, 4.56 gears etc. My buddy has always been to take the jeeps up prichett, but we have never been with anyone who knew how to run it.

Can we get through the canyon without damage? Assuming I follow the right lines and go easy on the right pedal? I have a pretty nice blazewr and do not to get in beyond its ability.

How long will Prichett take on sunday if I decide to go?

No worries, i did it when I still had a carb. Only spot that might getcha is rocker knocker, but with 8" you should be ok. A little under door armor never hurt tho.

We ran through pretty quick last time I went, but I was with 2 other guys who had driven it b4. more fun if you turn around and come back out the in door

as long as you don't mind taking the winch a couple times. you have any body armor?

I do not mind the winch at all. On my 72 I have some rocker gaurds, but they have yet to be tested. On my front is has been shaved, rear is stock. My bumpers sit a bit lower and tend to take the brunt of the angles. I am sure I can do all of golden spike with little problem, just always hear that prichett is way harder. The trifecta has to be one of my all time favorite trails. Too bad it is so long.

I do not mind a little damage, just do not want my blazer to look all messed up when i am done.

I would say run it if you want to.I would think you would be fine by just being careful and picking your line. This guy ran with us last year and did pretty good. 35" BFG mud T/A, one locker iirc.

You will be fine. We have a will have a burb with us that had done Pritchet before and he didn't really do any damage and he is only locked in the rear.

The fact that we know you wanna keep your blazer nice and you say that up front makes all the difference in the world.

You and I can both be uber careful with the sheet metal :D I like getting all twisted up, but ain't ready to dent the hoe up just yet...

Pritchett is becoming a bit risky for top heavy vehicles, there are several locations eroding into existance that were not a problem just a couple years ago. A lot of what you'll need to pay attention to is winching smart, meaning positioning the vehicle properly and winching to the right locations. I think the crewcab had 37's and still sat pretty low (comparatively anyway) and had a lot of wheelbase.

Not un-doable but you need to be tuned in to drive it. That's part of what makes it fun right?

I am thinking I can run it and just be ubber careful and see what my blazer will handle. I am pretty certain I will be fine. Of course I have to make it over trifecta in one piece first, which should not be a problem as long as I am not too heavy on the right pedal.
