Should I buy a Chevy Luv?

Something to consider.... Sit in one, for a while. Is it roomy enough? Could you spend hours on end wheeling it and not have back or leg pain?

I'm only 6'1", not too tall by todays standards, and anything less than an extended cab and I feel like I'm right on top of the steering wheel sitting straight upright and have to lift the legs up to operate the pedals instead of just shuffling my feet around. So, before you decide to buy/build one of those LUVs, are you too tall to fit in one comfortably for hours on end?

Still thinkin... Ya I think I should check out a LUV first and ponder it more. I really would like to see how thin the frame is.

My old 94 Toyota was sick! I loved the midsize!

After the Toyota thang... I came to love Chevy and GMC. A LUV would be up my alley.

I'm just afraid of starting a whole new project. I could just do a little at a time... Slow build. Most LUVS are beat up. So if I did find one, I forsee a lot of time and $$$$ spent on just the body. Lots to think about! Thanks for everyone's advice! Great stuff!

If anyone knows of any 1981 Chevy LUVS for sale in the western states in good stock condition. Plz let me know!

The luv frame is actually stronger than an s-10's. It is boxed from front to back and has plenty of crossmembers that are all welded in but because they are, it can be A pain at times for the transmission mount depending on the Trans. The stock frame of many luvs have been subjected to drag racing for years with little to no modifications.
