Hi Im new here,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a decsion. I Am looking at buying a 1991 GMC Jimmy, 2 tone Black, with a red stipe in its mid point. The only thing I can see wrong with it is its paint is faded a little. Also Its a 5.7, 4x4 with a minute mount plow hitch on it. Its got 112000 miles on it and they are asking $2995 for it. What do you think I like it a lot. I heard it run it sounds good, and its from a dealer. I think it is a GOOD deal.

sounds about right. check to make sure the tcase engages properly and check the frame for cracks by the steering box... also check for cancer around the bottom 12" of metal around the truck.
 
Mass. truck , offer them less , but offer it in cash , they may bite .

2995.00 out here is the median price for a pretty already lifted truck with some stuff , and those are rust free .
 
Yea this ones rust free, when I saw it I thought it was a pretty mean looking truck, its a Bronco killer.
 
rust free plow truck in mass? you better get on your belly with a spot beam.

they have done something to hide the rust. lookunder the carpet by the tailgate, then look towards the front under the rear wheel well . look at the spot where the seat belts connect. look under the front floor sections and make sure its not newer paint you are looking at
 
THis truck isnt really a plow truck, all he the guy who owned it before did with it before was plow his and his friends driveways. But I did go over the body good. The rocker pannels are awsome, and there is no visable rust, no bondo spots.
 
Yea like was said your really needto lift up that carpet and also actually crawl under the truck to see how they are hiding the rust. It's there, you just have to find it ;)
 
90 and 91 blazers have galvanized steel body panels. they do not rust out like the earlier years. I have a 90 with 150,000k with absolutly zero rust..(in N.Y. I may add). good luck, ERIK

Well its a dealer and Im guessing you paying cash... I would show them $2000 good chance they will take it or meet you half way at $2500
