Problem witht hat is that is in Burbank haha. Although I can maybe get somehitng from michigan, my dad lives there. BUT the salt from michigan roads will probobly cause more rust. Anyway, if i check out this blazer wat shoudl i look for? look under carpet for rust, etc?

For two hundred bucks you fly and get it if its in another state. Heck I bought both of my trucks off eBay. Always ask for pictures and if you can't see it well enough ask for better. With as many of members we have here someone somewhere is close enough to check it if you need to. That little $25.00 membership due is well worth it.

The area behind seats where seat belts bolt to sides. The ares at rear under carpet where tail gate is. You know the typical ares right? Over wheel wells the rockers under the doors, ect.

The rear wheel well has a lip and a drain area about middle you can insert a pinky in it see how it feels (rusty or clean). The rear lower area at tail gate behind wheels. Take a refrig magnet and test spots to see if bondo is there.

Yea that sounds like a good way, so get a magnet, and check places like wheel wells, rockers, etc. Should i look under the carpet? Problem witht aht is the carpet is bolted down i think and i dont want to be ruining this guys carpet haha. I sent him an email offereing him $3,500 - so well see what he says. Engine area looks a little dirty, does anybody have maybe a video so i can see/hear how this truck should sound for a sound test of the engine? what RPM should the engine shift at in a given gear? Im also going to check fuel lines, maybe take some more pics and see what you guys think...

The rear carpet is held down by like six screws, take the trim (aluminum) strip off and raise the carpet up that covers the rear area. Get on your back and look at the floor pans under the truck. You can see most of the areas.

So i need to check floor plans and stuff too then. Shoudl the undercarriage be completely rust free? or is a little rust okay?

Friday I will try to get you pics of what my underside looks like. To give you some idea of what a SALT free looks like any rust that you see has just occurred since November of this year.
