i found a np205 for $150 plus $110 to ship it to me, it's for a turbo 350 and i'm going to put it behind my 700r4. it has a slip yoke. should i get it or not? also will my slip yoke work or am i going to have to do something with the driveshaft? if i have to modify the drive shaft i'm just going to get a sye and do it like that.

just wanting to know what you guys would do

your slip yoke will work but it will be a few inches too short, so a lenghten of the rear and about two inches cut off the front shaft as well.

should i get it? i don't need it right away, but i want to put one in my truck and eventually do a doubler

i bought one cause i was tired of my 208 problems. its up to you, i would look for one locally. one fell in my lap and the offer came up and i had the cash and i couldnt resist. should have, but now im ahead of the game. upgrade as well as replacement. i paid 200 for mine.

I would think for $260 you can find one locally that you can see/touch 1st hand before you paid for it. It's a decent price but nothing smoking hot.

X2 go with the local ones, check out craigslist.com in your area. they have them listed round here all the time, most of the time they are practically giving them away. most are anywhere from $25.00 to $150.00 in my area.

well i passed on it and i'm going to continue looking. the problem i've found is that i never find one locally that's from a turbo 350, i'm going to put one behind my 700r4.

i've read that you can get a 10 spline and put a 27 spline input shaft in it, anyone have any experience with this?

You're lucky to even find any around here. And if you find one someone's selling they usually want 300 and upwards for it. I'm wanting to find a better solution since I am too, tired of my 208's problems. I'm thinking about going with the 241, since it's cheaper and easier to mate to a 700R4, since my truck hardly see's extreme four wheeling.

I did, or am doing, the switched to a 27 spline input. Got the parts, haven't done the job yet. I'm also installing a SYE.

I'd suggest you figure out if you want a SYE or not and what spline count you want. Since you have time you can keep an eye out. Somebody has exactly what you want, you just have to find them;)
