I need to ask a more direct question than my other open thread in a hope to get a specific answer.
Come to find out there are Chevy 208's without the synchro keys & ring. The trucks that had them were auto-hub models like my K5 "was". I now have a Dana 60 up front with manual hubs.
To eliminate the chance that I may have installed these incorrectly and have them come loose and destroy my case, I think I'd be better off just not putting the keys and ring back in.
If I decide to keep them installed, does this look right? Then the brass synchro ring basically rides on top of the syncrhonizer keys?
