Should I and if so, how much should I move my dana 60 front axle forward on my 91 blazer. I have installed crossover stearing, 4 in Tuff Country HD springs, 1 in. body lift. And what is the best way to move it forward? Where can I go to see how someone has done this? On the rear I have ord shackle flip, factory leaf springs,ORD zero rate leaf, 14 ff, 1 in. body lift. If I were to use the ord zero rate leaf on the front axle, would this make the front sit higher than the rear? If I use the ord zero rate, should I move it the 1 in. or the 1 1/2 in. position? What problems can I expect to run into when I move the axle forward? THANKS

Why are you thinking about moving the axle forward?

We do make shorter zero rates (3/8"), though we don't keep those in stock as often. The 1" zero rates will give you exactly 1" of lift.

i WOULD LIKE A LITTLE MORE CLEARANCE OF THE FRONT FENDER IN THE REAR AND HAVE A LITTLE MORE DISTANCE OR LENGTH FOR DRIVE SHAFT ANGLE.

Also, would moving it forward 1 to 1 1/2 in. forward cause problems with camber, caster, stearing box, or any other problems that you know of. I talked to Steve @ ORD just briefly the other day and I think he said 1 in. would be no problem at all but I didn't ask him about these kind of issues. I think the( 3/8) 0 rate would be the way to go. Do these bolt into the spring pack like the rears? And are they moving it 1 in. or 1 1/2 in. or either of the two?

With just crossover (and no high steer) moving the axle forward is no problem. Moving the axle forward has basically nothing to do with alignment, the only thing it can do is add a little caster which is a good thing on a rig with bigger tires.

The shorter zero rates work just like the others, just shorter.

what you will gain in 1.5" forward movement, you will also increase your driveshaft angle by 1" at the axle end.

it will also rotate the axle backward and further 'up' the radius of the spring.
