Just kidding (mostly). But we have a girl due in Sept., and after installing the D60 today, I'm pretty sure she'll be the one who ends up with it when I'm old. At any rate, I love the D60. I cleaned it for hours getting surface rust off with a wire wheel, and she cleaned up nice. Then, painted on some Hammerite dark paint for everything that needs it.

Bottm line is, this piece of the puzzle can beat up the other pieces of the puzzle.

I think Dana is a good name for a girl. Getting your wife to sign off on it might be a trick though.
I've seen the name used for both boys and girls.

the wife will probably agree, so long as she doesn't know that you're naming your daughter after an axle...

As long as you're prepared for the first time you hear, "Now, that's what I call a Dana rear-end!" Cause you know it's gonna happen...and probably before she's 15 years old!

i'm also in the middle of a D60 rebuild ..but i don't think i'm gonna love it until that kingpin is out

see you painted it with hammerite , wonder if it's the same stuff we have overhere..kinda flaky finish

Dana is a good name. I have a son named Remington, another named Gunnar.
Ted Nugent has a son named Winchester.

My girlfriend's middle name is Chevelle; and her younger brother's name is Chevy ;) You can almost tell how well I get along with their family :D

You guys are too funny. I guess if I heard her boyfriend say that about a nice rear end, I might be able to get over it if I liked the boy. If he knows what a Dana is, that's something after all. He'd just better be careful that the family shotgun stays on the mantle (where it will be when she starts dating!).

Zeitler, I think Krylon makes some hammered paint as well. I've only used Hammerite because it's the toughest paint I've found. I use it on just about anything. Stays put. You can even paint over rust and it fairs well. It does have a textured surface...as if it had been hammered. Very cool stuff.

Spicer, eh? He'd have to listen to NPr, and order from NPd!

Jagged, your girlfriend has one of the coolest names around! Of course, I may be biased with a '70 Chevelle in the garage.

Keep a can of white spray paint handy, just in case the wedding needs to be Formal. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah no kidding, the best part is her father owns a garage that I do some part time work at (and free use of tools and scrounge parts for my truck and cars). She's really good with bodywork (no pun intended ;) ), so it all works out well :P

Just named my new daughter Dana Nicole, she was born May 22. Thanks for the idea, don't tell my wife I got it from CK5.com :wink1:

lol! kick azz. :) I can't think of a better place to get a name. Every one thinks Kobe Bryants name is cool and he's named after a steak for crying out loud. At least the other meaning of "dana" has the potential to be cool.. but a steak? lol!
