so I got an 89 jimmy with a 350 and 700r4 I love it it sits on 33s right now but it’s got a body lift not a suspension lift. It makes the bumpers have a big gap between the body and it bothers me the way it looks. Also whoever did the body lift didn’t put any bushings in the middle only on the front and back mounts. Is this a tough job? Is it worth it? Or is there a way to make my bumpers raised up so they look like they belong??
If I do remove the body lift will I need a suspension lift still?

lots of guys squeeze 33" no lift . but if you have a 2" or more suspension you will be fine with no body lift .

if me i would do a new master body mount kit from places like energy suspension . then a 1" body lift kit . www.offroaddesign.com has both of these kits . the 1" body makes working on stuff so much better and the bumper gap is almost not even there like your current body lift gap to bumper .

Just for reference, I ran 33x12.5x15 BFG All-Terrain tires with no lift and never had a problem on my '84 Jimmy K5.. Given that in my area we only have ruts, mud and small hills to deal with off road. As for the body lift, do you really think it's wise to have them just on the ends w/o the middle being supported? I'm thinking sag." Hard bumps could, I would think, eventually cause the center to sag eventually showing up in hard to open/close doors. Either do it all or get rid of it. No sense making problems for yourself. Plus, body/frame and bumper gaps look terrible, IMHO (and in the opinion of all the guys I used to wheel with). Just some food for thought. Disclaimer: I never had a wheeling situation like500$k5 either! WOW!

I had 33×12×15 on 8" rims and had no problem with no lift.
Put 10" wheels and I had to cut the corners on my front fenders.
It's all about the wheels with the 33" tires.
Personally I like having a 1 or 2" body lift to help with the mechanical work access but a 3" or more is too much.

You're gonna have to take pictures of your mounts for us...

The first picture is the middle mounts they decided didn’t need bushings I guess. The other one is the rear mounts. I love the way my truck sits and I don’t want to lower it at all I might even like another inch or two of lift even I just HATE the bumper gaps

no body lift block is prob from the fact them bolts are welded to the floor from the factory and they didnt want to mess with them .

the gas is ugly for sure .

I didn't think of that, I was thinking the blocks broke and fell off.
But you're right that is most likely what happened.
