should i turn my truck into a trazer?

Um, what has you leaning this direction? What are the specs on your rig currently? What are you trying to gain by doing this?

right now its a 74 blazer got a decent amount of rot, 4 cab mounts are shot, the doors dont line up cus the previous owner did some horrendous body work, 350 tbi, 700r4, 208, 14bff detroit, 4.56s dana 44 front chromoly shafts detroit electrac, 35s

trying to gain less rust doors that actually close windows that roll down with out the door having to be opened slightly cab mounts that arent rusted away maybe some weight reduction i dont know was also considering a crew cab as well
the body doesnt look horrible from looking at it but its decently bad and its got a lot of body flex when im wheeling so much so that it made it so one of the doors didnt open cus it bent where the door striker is. ive rebuilt, replaced everything on this truck cept for the body.

Sounds like its time for a body swap! Guess you really just have to decide if you want a truck cab, or a blazer body on there.

Comes down to needs and future intentions with the rig.

Looks a lot better than you describe it though! I'd personally say replace teh body with another blazer tub, but i just like blazers

ya and i think i could come out money ahead putting a cab on it seeing how i already have like 17k into this thing im not sure if i want to go out and blow more money on a good body

Have you looked into a fiberglass IH scout body? Cool look, Chevy heavy duty and no rust.

the exterior does look good but on closer inspection u can see the 55 lbs of bondo on it the rust thats coming through, the fenders on the back flap cus theres nothing supporting em theres a decent amount wrong with it but driving by it it does look good

Or go old school and look into a 30's -50's truck body. Heavy steel, flat windows, simple interior.

i like my power accessories lol and just put ac in this so i dont want to lose that or spend alot of time figuring out how to rig it in

I say search for a good blazer tub, or just swap the cab on there. You got the older style frame so a truck cab will mount on there with no other modifications

found a crew cab for cheap looks like no rust and the rear doors are shaven and suicided im not sure if i want to do this but i am intrigued, i know i will have to cut it up to fit between the wheels

I think you would have to move the axle back if you were to use a crewcab on a blazer frame

i agree with mudder militia about the crew cab not fitting without extensive work, but if you jsut want a wheeler id say do a truck cab, although another blazer tub would be better for a more street driven truck to me, an all out wheeler trazer.

I want to see a better picture of your rear diff if it still has the smiley lol.
