i`ve been tinkering around a bit, and was wondering about this.....i am looking to get an art carr gate shifter for my rig, so i can ride the gears when i want....so i`m wondering this....my 700r4 doesnt need a rebuild as far as i know, so i`m looking into getting this kit (from a member here) from raptor....its kit #30 if you want to check it out, so would you guys recommend me getting it, and changing the tranny fluid/filter at the same time???would that kind of beef up the trans a little?...as soon as i get other things done (like swap shafts in rear ends and swap out front axle, and possibly swap heads on my motor) i will look into a nice big tranny cool and tranny temp gauge

tranny cooler is a must with a 700. i learned the hard way...800 mile round trip, and driving on the beach in hot summer...sudden death w/o a cooler. now my tranny needs a rebuild. when i got home i got the biggest tranny cooler i could find. paid $60 for it.
