Well, I should know soon if I will be getting my first k-5 or not. The Blazer in question is OK, and is a factory 4-speed. I have been wanting one for a long time, but started to get picky after I looked at a few. I have decided that I want one with a 4-speed, so it is taking a little longer to find one. Finally found one, the guy was possibly wanting to trade for a classic muscle car project I have, so we will see.

Congrats possibly, what are your plans with the truck? And obviously pics will be required if you get it and when your able to post them.

Thanks possibly, the first thing I am going to do with the truck, it to use it and take my oldest two kids fishing and stuff like that, kind of enjoy the truck the way it is now, until we get bored with it. Then the work will begin, lift, dana 60 and 14bff swap, stuff like that. It has a 355 in it with a mild cam and carb right now. It is a 1986 siverado K5. It already has 35s on it, but not enough lift, and the owner before the guy who has it now done a little trimming on the front fenders, so I will have to fix that as it is not my preferred method of getting the tires to fit. I want to have it be able to be drove daily, but also tear up the mud holes when I want to. My cousin has a 84 k5, and he wants to get the families together and do some mudding. His is auto, mine will be a 4-speed, unless I just get a deal I can not pass on an auto. I will also use it to pull my small boat to the river and the likes. Thanks for the reply. I will keep you all informed.

How you going to fix cut fenders? Personnally feel cutting is the best way to fit big tires.

In HS my buddy had a 88 4speed 350 blazer and we had more fun in it than anything I have owned since, including my 90 Sub on 40s. I really love the blazer just havnt found one that i like enough to trade the Sub off for. Speaking of "misery" we head down there to Bucannans, Robertsville, and St Joes state park quite a bit to mess around with our trucks, ILL isnt known for its hill climbs and such, just regular old field mud

Update!!

Talked to the current Blazer owner, he is still very interested in my Camaro, and is waiting for his buddy to get home to discuss what it will take to fix the car totally. I should find out today or tomorrow for sure.
