I guess the heading just about covers it.
'95 Yukon GT with stock TBI 350 @ 238,000 miles.
Thanks to CK5 I was able to get my TBI base gasket diagnosed and fix it this weekend.
During that process I noticed a pretty loud ticking from the throttle body when the air cleaner was off. Using the stethescope, I determined that it's coming form the Idle Air Control Valve.....
The volume is such that with the air cleaner off I started the truck and as I walked up to the fender I asked "what's that ticking sound?"
So.... normal, or should I replace it?

PS> It does seem to have a rich smelling idle and does stutter sometimes at stopsigns and redlights....
