Should we do the CK5 calendars again?

I will be getting at least 1 "Rigs" calendar... I'll also pick up the "Girls" calendar if there are "Rigs" with the "Girls"
 
For sure the rigs calendar, I'm starting to wonder about the girls cal however, last year I read a few posts on other sites and this one to, about some of the girls etc. and of course arguments insued, hurt feelings etc. and it wasn't pretty so not sure it's worth the hassle.. :dunno:
 
Hmmmmm.........It's your game, Steve. Just let me know either way. Just remember that most of the asshats involved in that crap have left CK5 on a permanent basis.

Well, as one of the ones involved (kinda) in the 'asshat Girlie calander scandal', I can say that I was sadly disappointed in the reactions of some of the guys to it. Despite how many times it was stated that it was not a 'bikini clad, drool and jerk off on the pictures' type of thing, it was still turned into that. The idea behind the calander is a good one, if everyone was mature enough to take it for what it was intended (a neat way for a member to show off his rig in a setting with the one he shares his hobby and life with) instead of wanting a near porno version, Id say go for it again. But, you may find that you will lose some submissions because of the controversy around it. I know I definately wouldnt recommend to anyone to submit anything (unless its just for the rigs version). It wasnt pleasant.
That being said, I will get a pic of the rig and send it over if its a go.

Well, I'm all for eliminating the "Girls" calendar if that's what everyone wants, although I admit I'd have to shed a wee tear since it was THE calendar that started it all. The last thing I want is to provide some jerk out there an opportunity to insult a fella's wife. However, I KNOW my wife is a babe, so it doesn't really matter what some geek behind a keyboard says about her.......And let's not kid ourselves- there were only 2 guys involved in the BS and they are both gone for good(thanks Steve!!!!)

Regardless, we would need to pre-sell at least 75 units to make everyone's efforts worthwhile. Who else thinks they might want a cool custom calendar full of awesome K-series rigs in action?
 
i understand why a rigs + chicks calender might be on the chopping block... but at the same time, should we let 2 morons (since booted, apparently) decide what the rest of us do? By 99.9% of peeps here on ck5, the chicks + rigs calender seemed very well received. I dunno... I'd prolly go trucks only cause my wife would probably prefer it that way... but it'd be cool if we had the option. Just my $0.02.

DO the girls cal. You know it makes sense! I'd much rather look at members wives with their or their ol'mans rig than see some brainless dolly bird model pouting all over some bling truck with 24" rims etc.
If people don't want to buy the girls one then they have a very good alternative. I'll def buy both if you produce them.
Surely the girls on here are above petty critisism by dorks who should know better.
In my humble opinion.
(I was even going to get my wife to pose with one of my trucks) :grin:
 
Im in for one of each.... I wasnt around last year to witness this scandal with the girls that took place but K5's and Hot Wives are just ment to be on my garage wall and it shouldnt even be a question. I really dont think this should be debated on or voted on it should just be a must - my garage wall needs it. Honestly what is better that a big muddy flexing K5 next to a good looking lady. How much $?? :usaflag: Its not like we are talking naked ladies right - just swimsuits... I dont see what the big deal is.. I vote yes to the ladies & rigs calander along with ever other male I know in this great country.
 
I'll buy a copy of the Rigs calendar again for 2006.
