Good day all I have recently purchased a 1973 K-5 Blazer. I am currently looking into installing front seatbelts that include a shoulder strap. I do not want to use just a lap belt for obvious safety reasons. Does anyone have any information on how to do this?

One way is to put late model seats in with integral belts. Second build a real roll bar with seat belt cross bar.
The full convertible top is the issue.

That's exactly what I was thinking, but was concerned about access to the rear with the size of the seats with integral belts. It appears based on measuring that it may impede access. Any thoughts?

Any rear bench will make it tricky to get to the rear most cargo area from the front of the cabin. What aspect of a late model seat re you concerned with - overall height, folding/tumble function, etc?

I'm 6 ft 6 so I need a seat that will accommodate my height, incorporate the shoulder belt, and hopefully still allow my kids to climb into the back seat. The seats in the Blazer now are newer, I think from a late model Suburban or Yukon second row. They fold and grant access, but do not have the integrated shoulder strap. I was thinking in the alternative of keeping these seats and maybe adding a shoulder strap/lab belt combo, attaching the lap portion to the existing connection point for the lap belt, and attaching the shoulder portion to the roll bar or the B pillar, but I'm not sure where on the B pillar it could attach because it has a removeable top.

Yeah the b pillar for full convertible is not a good spot. you would need to the roll bar option if you keep the current seats

Yeah, the pivot point for the shoulder portion is (by racing standards) supposed to be at or just a few inches below your shoulder to prevent injury in a crash so you'd need a roll bar for both the front and rear seats (ie; a cage or most of one).

I have the 2000-2006 front Silverado front and the 3rd row Tahoe fold and tumble in the rear. All have the ingratiated shoulder harness. The front are all power and the drivers side is mounted for me. The passenger side is mounted to allow entry with seat full forward and tilted forward.

The integrated seat belt seats need to have modifications done to the floor pan to increase it's strength.

Your best bet is a 4 point roll bar. Then weld on a seat belt bung near the b pillar riser. Will work the same as the 76+ blazer set up.
